Meet the founder

Shane

I build the tools I wish I’d had when I started.

I’m Shane, the founder of The Linfold. I make practical digital tools and write clear, useful guides for entrepreneurs, freelancers and parents who work from home. Everything here has one goal: to help you create more space in your work and your life.

why it exists

One place for clear, useful guidance.

If you’ve tried to build something of your own online, you know the feeling. Advice for starting an online business can turn one question into eleven open tabs. Another platform, another product, another task. The Linfold is a place to make the next step clearer.

The Linfold started during a season when I was balancing motherhood, building an income from home, and trying to make a lot of moving pieces work together. I wanted one place with clear, useful guidance for building a flexible business and creating more space for the life happening around it, so I decided to build it myself.

The Linfold is a small, independent studio. I make tools that do one job well and write guides that respect your time. No hype, no fifty-tab strategies, and no promises that a business runs itself.

the idea underneath

Create more space.

Less clutter on your desk and in your apps. Fewer decisions you have to remake every morning. More room for the people and plans that matter outside of work.

I’d rather help you do fewer things well than add one more routine to maintain. When I recommend something, it should make a decision easier. If it only creates another want, it doesn’t belong here.

how I work

Simple on purpose.

  • Useful first. Every guide and tool should help you do something you can use today.
  • Honest about limits. I’ll tell you what a product doesn’t include and what a strategy costs in time.
  • Simple on purpose. A simple business can still be well built and profitable.
  • Written, not on camera. You won’t find webinars or video courses here. Everything is built to use on your own schedule, whether that’s naptime, a lunch break or late at night.

where we are now

Built in the open, one useful piece at a time.

The Linfold is new. I’m starting small, keeping only what earns its place, and improving as I learn what’s most useful to you.

That’s why your questions matter so much. What part of building a business feels unnecessarily confusing right now? Reply to the letter or write to me at hello@thelinfold.com. Your answers shape what I make next.
